Why FRAUD?

Why FRAUD?

China did not join trade mark agreements ...

Taken from a banana !

Yes, I do believe it is from

Yes, I do believe it is from a banana. FRAUD means not FAKE.

There is somewhere an article in the article section where I started to classify our labels: Banana Label, Bag Label, Hang Tag, Inspection Label, Trial Label, Wrapper, Promotion and many more. Also Fraud and Fake labels are included in this list.

FRAUD are the labels where some has stolen the design or brandname and is using it to pimp up no-name bananas. For me is China the world champion in using foreign designs. In this case from Turbana. I do not know if it is true, but I always think of a small fruit shop, where the owner is buying local bananas and add a home made label to make the banana look more expensive. I really love this kind of labels and like to get them.

In the 'search' you will find at the moment 20 other FRAUDS with designs stolen from Chico, Dedore, Carmelita or Chiquita. Sometimes it is not easy to distinguish original and stolen designs but the Chiquitas are great.

Does this answer your question?

P.S.: And I would appeciate when some collectors also have fun to give a structure or taxonomy to our 31000 labels and help to get the articles complete or give a second opinion. In the gallery are also some example pictures that are quite incomplete and need rework.
